If your system has an NVIDIA graphics card, but you are getting an AMD Adrenalin Software error, it may have been caused by a Windows update.
Why Am I Receiving the AMD Software Error?
If you don't have an AMD graphics card but are still running into this pop up error, Windows may have installed them incorrectly during an update.
This can sometimes occur due to buggy updates but not to worry - it's easily fixable and we'll take you through the steps!
Steps to Remove AMD Adrenalin Software
Check Installed Drivers & Software
• Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps and look for AMD Adrenalin or AMD Radeon Software.
• If found, uninstall it and restart your PC.
Remove Any AMD Drivers via Device Manager
• Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display adapters and check if any AMD GPU is listed (your system should only have an NVIDIA or Intel GPU).
• If an AMD device appears, right-click and Uninstall device, ensuring to check Delete the driver software for this device before confirming.
• Restart your PC.
(Optional) Run the AMD Cleanup Utility
• If the error persists, AMD provides a tool to completely remove any AMD software:

• Restart your PC and check if the issue is resolved.
• Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Optional Updates.
